How Does the Charging System Work?
This is important because the suitcase does not contain its own battery.
Instead, you connect your own compatible power bank inside the suitcase.
The HGP-1's integrated charging connections then allow you to connect a phone or other compatible device to the external USB ports without opening your suitcase.
So while you're sitting at the departure gate with 10% battery remaining, you don't have to unpack your luggage looking for a power bank.

To use the suitcase's charging function, you'll need to connect your own compatible power bank.
This is actually useful for air travel because airline rules surrounding lithium batteries generally require power banks to be carried in cabin baggage and prohibit them from checked baggage. Always check your particular airline's current battery and cabin-baggage rules before travelling.
Is It Guaranteed to Be Cabin Baggage?
Although RealPower describes the HGP-1 as a 22" carry-on suitcase, airline cabin-baggage limits vary.
The suitcase measures approximately 59.5 × 38.5 × 24.5cm, so always check your airline's permitted cabin-baggage dimensions before travelling.
