The Albrecht DR 865 is a digital radio designed for people who want modern radio without complicated technology. With DAB+ digital radio, traditional FM, Bluetooth, a large 4-inch colour screen, big buttons and a remote control, it combines modern features with refreshingly straightforward operation.
What really makes the DR 865 different is its dedicated Comfort/Senior Mode. Once the favourite stations have been set up, the radio can be simplified so that the user only has access to the essentials — power, volume and six favourite station buttons. This helps prevent settings being accidentally changed.
Made to Be Easy
The large 4-inch TFT colour display clearly shows radio stations and programme information, while the generously sized physical buttons make the radio much easier to operate than many modern touchscreen devices.
There are six direct-access favourite buttons, so stations such as RTÉ Radio 1, RTÉ 2FM, Newstalk or other available DAB+/FM stations can be programmed for one-touch access.
It also comes with a remote control, making it particularly convenient beside a bed, in a sitting room or for anyone with reduced mobility.

This isn't just a basic bedside radio.
Inside are two 7-watt RMS speakers, giving the DR 865 a total output of 14 watts RMS stereo. That's plenty for everyday listening in a kitchen, bedroom, sitting room or office.

Despite its deliberately simple design, the DR 865 is also a Bluetooth 5.0 speaker.
